"I got the coney dogs and a..."
I got the coney dogs and a bowl of chili, both were really good — which was a nice surprise because apparently that’s not always guaranteed these days. The chili had solid flavor without trying to destroy my taste buds, and the dogs tasted exactly like I was hoping they would. Ordering was easy, everything came out hot, and I didn’t have to chase anyone down for basic stuff, so that was refreshing. I’d definitely come back next time the craving hits

"I felt like I was waiting forever for..."
I felt like I was waiting forever for my food, and when it finally showed up, it was late and already cold. Disappointing experience :(

"Great spot when everyone wants something different"
National Coney Island is one of those places I appreciate because it doesn’t make choosing dinner feel complicated. If I’m in the mood for a coney, it hits the spot, but if someone else wants breakfast, a salad, or something totally different, there’s usually something on the menu for them too. For my family, that’s a big deal because we rarely agree on what to eat. Having so many options in one place just makes it an easy, reliable choice

"Pretty clean overall"
I stopped in and, overall, the place was clean. The tables looked like they had been wiped down, and the bathroom was in decent condition, which I always appreciate. It wasn’t absolutely spotless, but it was cleaner than a lot of fast food places I’ve been to. Solid experience, 4 stars from me.

"Friendly staff made lunch easy"
Stopped in for lunch and had a nice experience overall. The person at the counter was super friendly and patient while we were still deciding what to get, which I always appreciate when I’m not totally sure. They even checked on us after we sat down, so the service definitely stood out.
The food came out quickly and was solid, nothing fancy but totally fine for a quick lunch. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a little busy and some tables took a while to get cleaned, which felt preventable with a bit more attention. Still, the staff made the visit easy and pleasant.

"Okay diner spot, just a bit noisy"
I went here and it had that casual diner kind of feeling, which I actually liked good. It was kind of loud though, like hard to fully relax loud, at least when I was there. The tables looked clean enough and the staff were moving around a lot, seeming busy. Overall not a bad place or anything, just maybe not the one I’d pick if I was wanting a quiet meal.

"Easy pick when I want cheap coneys"
My quick rule is if the coneys are priced right and taste decent, I’m happy. This place usually checks that box, so it feels worth it most of the time.

"Everything was right, just a little wait"
Grabbed takeout from National Coney Island, the main thing I cared about was whether the order was actually right. It was. Nothing missing, no surprise toppings, no random mix-ups in the bag, which sounds basic but you know how it goes. Food was decent too, no complaints there. I did end up waiting a bit longer than expected at pickup, so that’s the only reason I’m not giving it the full five stars. Otherwise, smooth
